Malmö Aviations technical operations spun off as separate company Braathens Technical
Malmö Aviations technical operations are being spun off as a separate company under the name Braathens Technical. The company is part of the new Braathen Aviation Group, owned by Per G. Braathen.General Manager Peter Zachrison will head up the new service and maintenance company. Zachrison has worked with aircraft for more than 20 years, for the last several years as Vice President, Technical Operations at Malmö Aviation.
Braathens Technical is essentially the former technical operations division of Malmö Aviation. While the companys main focus is maintaining the Braathens Aviation fleet, sales of services to third parties are expected to account for more than 50% of the company's sales.
Working for a company with such strong potential for favourable development as Braathens Technical is going to be incredibly exciting, says its General Manager Zachrison. He continues: The companys business has grown powerfully in recent years and Braathens Technical is expected to generate sales of SEK 287 million in 2007, with a workforce of about 100.
The head office is based at Malmö Airport but the company has production bases across Europe in Oslo, Rome, Milan, London, Stockholm and Göteborg. Braathens Technical specialises in aircraft of the BAE146/RJ and ATP types.
Braathens Technical sells its technical services to a number of renowned customers such as West Air Sweden and Atlantic Airways.
