Dangerous goods
Examples of dangerous goods permitted in checked baggage and carry-on baggage
A few examples of items to which restrictions may apply on aircraft follow.

Alcoholic beverages
Permitted in carry-on baggage in secure (tamper evident) packaging. Maximum 5 litres/passenger. Alcohol above 70% alcohol by volume (140 proof) is prohibited.
However, Swedish Civil Aviation Authority regulations apply to the carrying of liquids in carry-on baggage. This rule applies only if the alcohol was purchased in the airport after passing through security. For more information, see the Civil Aviation Authority Website.
Knives, scissors and other sharp objects
Blade length maximum 5 cm.

Butane curling irons
Permitted in checked and carry-on baggage. May not be used onboard. Butane refillers are not permitted.
The butane cartridge must be removed from the curling iron.

Medicine
Applies to liquid medicines. Pills, powders, etc., are not covered by the new regulations. You are allowed to take medicine necessary for use during the flight in your carry-on baggage.

Diet food and baby food
The main rule is that you may bring as much baby food and special diet food as you need during the flight. However, you may bring enough baby food and special diet food for the entire time you will be away if you are unsure about whether you can buy the products at your destination and/or it is available only in large packages.

Hygiene/personal care items
Sprays, perfumes and colognes are covered by the new regulations restricting liquids in carry-on baggage. However, in the airport and after passing through security, you may buy larger quantities of liquids containing alcohol up to 2 litres or 2 kg, but the maximum for each individual package is 0.5 litre or 0.5 kg.

Oxygen
Pressurised canisters with maximum 1 litre volume in “inhalers” are permitted in the cabin.
Liquid oxygen is prohibited. You must have permission from the airline.

Dry ice
Maximum 2.5 kg/passenger, only if used to chill perishable goods not classified as dangerous or contagious. You must have permission from the airline.
Matches and lighters
Permitted only carried in your pockets for personal use. Maximum 1 butane lighter/passenger. Butane refillers are prohibited.
“Zippo” type fluid lighters are prohibited.
Only safety matches are permitted.

Carbon dioxide gas cartridges
Or cartridges that contain another non-toxic and/or non-flammable gas.
Permitted only for use with life vests and prostheses.
